Description

I'm really glad I changed his hair.
Welp this was pretty much wanting to draw what Ayder looked like during gen 1 compared to now, and I had some new painty brushes I really wanted to try out.

Aside from his hair, Ayder became less shota-y and more bishie-y in a way, I guess. Since I started with everything I already knew about him, rather than making stuff up as I went along like I originally did with him, he's much more developed as a character. He's certainly Canadian now, with the accent and of course, the hockey. At some point during gen 1 I changed the color of his eyes to his current icy blue, and to make his hair slightly more realistic, his natural color is a blonde rather than brown, and dyed, his hair isn't pure white. He's more muscular too, thanks to the predetermined hockey history, and his dad being his coach who gave him extra training to stay fit during the off-seasons. I also learned how to draw his hood so that it didn't look like a scarf. I like the new pink better than the old pink, too. Personality-wise, he isn't a whole lot different. He's still overprotective of Polarei, and always smiling. But now, according to his new backstory, he's a bit more wary of who he hangs around. Very slight trust issues, really, but sometimes

Bottom line, I was really nooby during gen 1 of Jail School, but it was pretty much the first rp group I ever joined, and Ayder was the first character I made that I actually used. I didn't know how to make a stable character, but since then, I definitely improved that, along with my art. I've always loved Ayder in whatever form I've had him, but I'm really glad he changed so much now.
